Summary

  • 1

Purpose of the service: Garimi is a browser tool that helps you find sensitive information in text before sending it to an external AI, replace it with pseudonymous tokens,
and restore it in the AI's reply.

  • 2

Limits of liability: Automatic detection is not 100% perfect,
and the final check of the replacement result and the decision to send it are the user's responsibility.

  • 3

No sign-up: Garimi does not require account sign-up or entering personal information,
and work content is not stored on a server.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms are intended to set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the service provider and users in connection with the use of Garimi (the "Service"), together with other necessary matters.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  • "Service" means the Garimi web application that runs in the browser and its related information pages.
  • "User" means a person who uses the Service under these Terms.
The Service does not offer account sign-up, and every user is a non-member.
  • "Pseudonymization (replacement)" means replacing sensitive information in the source text with a pseudonymous token such as [NAME_1].
  • "Restoration" means turning a pseudonymous token in an AI reply back into its original value using the replacement table on the user's browser.

Article 3 (Content and Limits of the Service)

① Detection, replacement and restoration in the Service run inside the user's browser,
and the service provider does not receive the text the user enters into the workspace.

② Because automatic detection is a rule-based estimate, false positives (incorrectly flagged) and false negatives (missed) may occur.
The Service does not guarantee the completeness of detection.

③ The user is responsible for reviewing and confirming the replacement result before passing it to a third party such as an external AI,
and the service provider is not liable for damage arising from a false negative or the like, except where caused by the service provider's intent or gross negligence.

④ Because the Service does not store work content,
content lost through a refresh, closing the tab or similar cannot be recovered.

⑤ Detection rules may be updated to improve the Service,
and detection results may accordingly differ from before.

Article 4 (User Obligations)

The user shall not engage in any of the following acts.

  • Entering or using another person's personal information in the Service without a legal basis to process it
  • Interfering with the normal operation of the Service or its hosting infrastructure
  • Using a result produced with the Service for an unlawful purpose

Article 5 (Changes to These Terms)

If these Terms are changed, the effective date and the content of the change will be posted on this page.
The changed Terms take effect from the posted effective date.
